Hock
1/4” Double-Bevel Violin Knife Blade
Regular price
$30.00
This delicate knife is perfect for getting into those little nooks and crannies where other knives simply can’t go. Vic uses his any time he's hand-cutting dovetails because it makes short work of those little crumbly bits that always end up in the corners of the tails and pins.
Unlike the 1/2” version of this knife we carry, this one is kept ultra-sharp and only gets used for extremely fine work. A violin knife is the first tool Vic ever made, and it has been indispensable. Check out chapter 1 of Projects from the Minimalist Woodworker to see how to make your own.
